Christmas Eve

Christmas came WAY too fast this year! I love everything about Christmas, but most of all i love being with my family and seeing all my little brothers and sisters get so excited about everything:)

On Christmas eve we played games and played in the snow. Trevor especially loved shoveling the snow many times throughout the day.  We also took around gifts to our neighbors, Hanna, as you can see wasn't very excited about this.

That night we went to Great Grandma Hall's for the annual Christmas party there.  Casen slept for the first part and had a really hard time waking up after that.

Even Grandpa couldn't get Casen to smile.
But receiving a present put a smile on his face!
Kyle and Trevor both got Nerf guns.

When we got home Trevor and I wrote a nice note to Santa and set it on the table with some brownies and a glass of milk.  It didn't last very long cause Casen kept eating them! And he only left a few crumbs for Santa to eat.

Trevor did a great job of sprinkling out the reindeer food (thanks Jenn)

She has improved so much this year and loves to tumble everywhere she goes.
She works hard to train 6-8 hours every week.

Spring Break 2012

For Spring Break, we took a little vacation to Salt Lake.  We went to Trafalga in Lehi. We had to wait in line for about an hour to get our passes, but after that we had a great time.  Jenn, Brandon, and Jennah joined us for the fun.

I think the funnest thing for everyone was watching Jennah and Casen enjoying themselves.

The Frog Hopper was fun to watch.  Kyle embarrassed his sisters because he screamed and made a scene, but Casen thought he was so funny.  This next picture is my favorite!
Then Casen got on the Frog Hopper and thoroughly enjoyed it.
While the other kids did Lazer Tag, Trevor wanted to climb the rock wall.  I was impressed with how quickly he climbed up.  He only went about halfway up, and then he liked repelling down best.  He went up and down about three times.  When he finished, we went to find Casen in the Kid area.  Jenn and Jennah had been watching and had not seen him for a while, so Trevor went up to find him.  I guess Casen had been stuck for a while, because Trevor found him crying, and then helped him find his way down.  He was a little traumatized:(
But then the Airplane ride opened up, so Trevor, Hannah, and Casen wanted to go on that ride.  Actually, by the time they were ready to start the ride Casen was trying to climb out, so he did not actually get to ride on it while it was going.  But it least he made it in the picture.
Lazer tag was the favorite activity for the older kids, but we did not get a picture of that.  Here they are waiting to get their gear on.  Garrick said our family is not very good at combat.  I think I'm OK with that.

After Trafalga Jenn invited us to dinner at her house with the cousins.  Rob and Kelsie and girls and Stephanie and her kids all met at Jenn's.  It is always fun to play with the cousins!  PLUS we got to meet baby Sara!  Then we stayed the night at Jenn and Brandon's new house and we should have just stayed there for the day, because I think that was the highlight of the trip!
Instead we did some shopping at Target and the new City Creek Mall.  Then we went to the Children's Museum at Temple Square.  All in all it was a fun family trip.  Special thanks to Jenn and Brandon for their hospitality.  Now we can't wait for at least one trip to Seven Peaks this summer!

5th grade olympics

This year I was in the 5th grade Olympics. My class color was green. I was in the obstical race and 10 points. In the obstical race you slide under a pole, step through tires, do a somersault, jump rope, ride a scooter around 3 cones, and last, jump over the pole. In 10 points you pass a football for 1 minute 30 seconds.
My class won every tug-a-war.

My mom made me a shirt that had my teachers name "Spendlove" on the front and "Hall 22" on the back.  Then I had people sign my shirt.

Fun Outside!

Garrick's "old men" church basketball team played in a region tournament yesterday.  They have a very good team and won the Stake championship a few weeks ago.  They lost in a buzzer beater game in the semi-finals, but it has been fun watching them play this year.

Kyle has been playing on a competitive basketball team.  His team has not won yet, but I love watching him play.

We are loving the spring weather.  Kyle loves to come to Grandma's
house to play basketball after school.
Last Sunday we all spent some time playing basketball.  Trevor loves to play with Kyle.  Trevor loves to do pretty much anything Kyle does, whether he is feeding the goats, playing basketball, working, playing...Kyle has a couple of little brothers who look up to him and he is very good big brother to  let them tag along.

Kaitlyn is getting to be a pretty good shooter.

CAsen went straight to the sand box that night and he and Trevor have spent some time in our sandbox this week.  One morning I went on my walk at 8:30 and when I got back at 9:30 Trevor and Casen were in the sandbox "working"
Hannah had a good time playing basketball and playing on the swing set.
