Hannah Graduates from Preschool- Friday, May 23, 2008

We went to Hannah's Preschool Graduation on Friday. It is ussually outside at MIss Tamara's house, but it was raining so they had it at the church. They sang some some cute songs. Hannah's favorite songs are "Dem Bones" and "Down By the Bay". She had a great year in preschool, and is so excited for Kindergarten!

Kaitlyn is Seven!! May 19th, 2008

Kaitlyn turned seven! She had her friend Maddie over after school, and we had Grandpa, Grandma, and Emily come for dinner. She wanted poppy seed chicken, jello, green beans, and noodles (she hates rice and potatoes which is what we usually have with poppy seed chicken), and "Better Than Anything Cake for dessert.
Grandma wrapped this tiny present in a big box with lots of layers and a little box inside. Kyle got a little impatient, but it was fun for Kaitlyn.

Her big surprise from us was a ticket to the Hannah Montana Concert on the 4th of July in Provo at the Stadium of Fire. This paper told what she was getting. Rachel, Kyle, and Hannah all get to go too! Thanks Brandon and Lindsay for securing the tickets for us. I know Brandon was tempted to sell them all on EBay.

Rachel and Kaitlyn - Tumbeling Class

This was an eight week class. They worked on cartwheels, forward and backward rolls, handstands, and even started learning to do back hand springs. Rachel started out not even liking to do a somersault, but now she can do cartwheels and forward and backward rolls. She improved so much!
Kaitlyn taught herself to do cartwheels long ago, but she learned in this class to land them a little better. She does cartwheels all the time. If she's happy, excited, bored, or distracted, she does a couple cartwheels wherever we are. She can now do one-armed cartwheels. Her teacher said she can move on to the advanced class for next fall. In that class they get to do tricks with he belt thing that keeps them from falling on their face. Anyway, they both had a great time!

Rachel and the Dairy Ambassadors at the RIchmond Black and White Days Junior Show Tuesday May 13, 2008

Rachel got to hand out ribbons and prizes at the show. She had a great time, and it was even fun for me to see some people that I hadn't seen for a long time. It brought back memories of when we used to show cows when I was a girl. I guess i really liked it, but I can't decide if it is worth all the work. I think Rachel and Kyle will start showing for 4-H next year. This year we will be at Brandon and Lindsay's wedding during out County Fair.

They got matching shirts, but Rachel's is rather big because this is an adult XS shirt. That was the only way they could find shirts to match and fit all the girls. They look great anyway.

Rachel wanted to give the ribbon to Bennett Gibbons. He is Ron and Andrea Gibbon's (good friends from Farm Bureau) son from Ogden. Bennett is one of the nicest 10 year old boys I have ever met. HE was so nice to come up and talk to Hannah and Trevor while I was talking to his dad. He was also very nice to talk to Rachel, and they acted like they were long lost friends. Just a very pleasant kid! It was very fun to see them.
