August 21, 2007 One of those days.

After reading about Gwen's swim day gone bad, I decided to share about our swim day attempt. On Tuesday, we were going to go swimming at the Logan Aquatic Center. Garrick even decided he wanted to come with us. CeCille and Emily were coming too. Well, when we got to the pool there was a sign saying that their hours had changed as of Monday. They would not be open until 3:00. We did not have two hours to wait in Logan, because we needed to get home and do the chores. While we were in the parking lot deciding what to do we saw about ten other cars come drive through only to be disappointed. The next day there was something in the newspaper about the new hours. Anyway, we did go get ice cream at Charlies. Trevor especially liked that!
Then I decided to go do a few quick errands to be ready for school to start. Garrick and all the kids except Trevor rode home with CeCille. Trevor and Emily and I went to Shopko. Then Trevor and I stopped by Kohl's. I got into the store and about halfway to the back of the store when Trevor started throwing up. I tried to catch it all on me and my diaper bag. He just kept throwing up so I decided the best thing for me to do would to be to get out of the store. I walked very quickly out of the store. Luckily I had a bunch of dry towels in the van. I took all of Trevor's clothes off. I happened to have my swimming suit on under my clothes, so I took my soaking shirt off and drove straight home. I will say that it was a little uncomfortable to be driving around wearing my swim suit. I was just hoping I didn't see anyone I knew. Trevor thew up several more times that day, but he felt better the next day.
So Gwen, I know how you feel. I was feeling like we were trying to be fun and go swimming as a family. It just didn't work out like we thought it should. Maybe we will try again when we forgive Logan City for not getting the word out about the time change.

Isn't it a bummer when your whole day is ruined like that?!!! You had it much worse than me though, at least I only had to deal with dissapointed children and not one throwing up. Poor Trevor! I'm glad he is feeling better. And I feel the same way about Ross Park, We will attempt it again when I have forgiven them for not mentioning that they may close the pool until after they take your money!!!
