Pictures for my wall
Today I took some pictures to replace the ones on my wall. It has been almost a year and it is emarassing to think I still have a picture of Trevor when he was only 2 weeks old up there. These pictures were taken in my neighbor's yard. JOyce and GAry have a little water fall and pond over there. WHile I was trying to get Kyle to cooperate, Trevor fell into the little pond. I was surprised how deep it was-at least 2 or 3 feet. He was completely submerged, but poped right back up to the top, and I was right close so I grabbed him. It was a good reminder to me of another thing Trevor could get into if we don't stay right with him. After giving Trevor a bath we attempted to take a few more pictures and I think they turned out pretty well considering not one of my children wanted to get their pictures taken, because they needed to be playing with Joelle.

Best Saturday Ever!
After the reunion Jenn and Brandon invited us to come to their house to swim in their pool. We knew we should really get back home to help Garrick and Kyle with milking and feeding calves, but then I thought this would probably be our only chance while we are down here anyway. It was such a hot day, and I knew the girls would love to swim with Jenn and Brandon because they are SO much fun. So we decided to stay, and on the way over to Jenn and Brandon's house from the reunion I decided I probably made the right choice. Kaitlyn said, "this is my best Saturday." Realize that most of our Saturdays are spent milking and feeding calves and the girls tend Trevor. Saturday is our employee's day off, so we have to do everything that day. I must say that I dread Saturdays. Then Rachel said I was the best Mom, and Hannah said, "Yah, I love you Mom." Needless to say I was feeling pretty cool, and the kids all had a great time in the pool. Jenn and Brandon even ordered pizza-Thanks it was very fun Jenn!
Richards Family Reunion
We went to Sandy yesterday for the Richards (CeCille's family) Reunion. We had a great time. We ate a very yummy breakfast, heard about Grandma Richards trip to Europe, had a treasure hunt, and played water baseball. It was fun to see everyone.
Hannah had a sleep over at Emma's house on Friday night. She had so much fun and thought she was so special. She told us that they went to the library and read books in a little house thingy magingy. The books were so funny. She also told us that on the way to the reunion from Stephanie's house Baby Aspen kept smiling at her. Thank you Stephanie, Gardner, Emma, and Aspen for inviting Hannah to stay over. She loves you.

Emily was in charge of the treasure hunt. after traveling throughout the park, the kids ended up finding this box in the back of Anthony's pick-up.

Trevor's Birthday Party
On Friday the 6th we went up High Creek to cook out and celebrate Trevor turning 1 year old. We found a spot by the stream, and the kids loved playing by the water, while Grandpa cooked hamburgers. WE ate yummy burgers and dutch oven potatoes (cooked in the crock pot by grandma). Trevor actually slept through most of this, which was probably the safest thing for him to be doing. He did wake up in time for cake (Cheesecake with strawberries and blueberries in the shape of a star) He loved the pie, and then he loved running around. He fell down so ofter, because of the uneven ground, but he jumped right back up and kept looking for new things to explore. What a fun night thanks to Anthony, CeCille, and Emily.

4th of July
We had a great 4th of July here in Lewiston. We got up early to get the milking a calves done so we could go to the breakfast sponsored by the firemen. I made these headbands to go with the girl's shirts. They looked so cute, but I should've known that they wouldn't keep them on for long. I guess the headbands hurt their heads.
Trevor was mesmerized by all that was going on. He especially liked the clown on stilts.

Happy Birthday Trevor!
Yesterday, Trevor turned 1 year old. It is always amazing to me how quickly that first year goes by. I can remember very vividly that morning he was born. I am so thankful that we have been blessed with a healthy, happy boy. Last night we went to Pizza Villa on our way to Garrick's Softball game to celebrate. TOnight we are going up the canyon to cook out with Garrick's family.
All of these pictures were taken in the past two days. Tuesday night we tried to put some little cowboy boots on him (see top middle picture). WE got them on with some effort, but they were so tight around his legs that he would not even try to stand up in them. We put his tennis shoes back on. In the bottom left picture he is standing next to our dog Missy. I know you might have wondered what that was, but if you look closely you can see her nose. Trevor loves Missy! Rachel took all three pictures in the middle row.

What a Smile!
Kaitlyn lost a tooth while she was at my parents house. With the other missing teethe and the silver teeth, it is quite the smile. The other front tooth is loose, but we might have to have my dad pull it if it is going to come out within the next three months. Garrick's family never pulled teeth. He says, what's the point. My dad always pulled our teeth out when the got a little bit loose. I think it is better to get it out of there so they can eat. Anyway, I have not convinced Garrick or my children that I should pull out their teeth. SO we just wait for them to fall out.
Kitty Cat Fun
I am always amazed at how much fun kittens are for my kids. They spend so much time building "pens" that might keep the kittens contained. Then they spend more time finding the kittens when they escape from the pens. They also like to feed the kittens milk with a syringe, because they are just sure the momma cat is not feeding them enough. They don't usually let Trevor join in the fun, because he doesn't know how to be gentle. I you can see the middle left picture the kitty's teeth are showing, but as far as I know Trevor was not hurt. This is definitely one of the joys of having a farm.
