Rachel Won Essay Contest
Rachel's Essay was chosen as one of the four best in the school. This contest was sponsored by the American Legion and was entitled "I'm Proud To Be An American"
This is what she wrote:
I'm proud to be an American because I'm free and I get to choose what I eat and what I wear. I'm also proud to be an American because we get to choose what job we do. Like if my dad wants to be a farmer he can, and if my Grandpa wants to be a banker, he can. I'm glad to be an American because we get to choose the church that we go to. WE can go the places we want. I'm proud to be an American because there's no slavery and we are so free. I am grateful for the people who go fight in the war to keep us free. I am grateful for the good president that we have and for the good people that work with the president. I am grateful for the good schools we have. I'm Proud To Be An American!
